Seamless transportation of passengers and rolling cargo

Nowadays, largely thanks to MacGregor, seamless transportation of rolling cargo, from shore to ship to shore, is an accepted fact. MacGregor has continuously improved the RoRo cargo handling concept over the years, recently focusing on innovative watertight solutions to secure vessel integrity.

Customised solutions begin at the preliminary study stage, continuing through design, production, installation and trials, up to full-scale operation. With more than 40 years’ experience of designing equipment for RoRo vessels, MacGregor continues to fulfil our customers’ ambition to streamline cargo flows and optimise cost-efficiency in the handling of rolling freight.

Car carriers, coastal RoRo´s and RoPax ferries

For car carriers, a key factor for achieving maximum flexibility and cargo space, and minimum time in port, is the design and location of the cargo access equipment.

MacGregor has equipped the majority of the world PCC/PCTC and deep-sea RoRo fleet with cargo access equipment and advanced lashing systems.

RoPax vessels are designed to provide maximum efficiency in loading and unloading of cars/cargo and passengers. MacGregor custom-built equipment is flexible and easily converted to match the vessel's changing business profile.
